Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Genome Sciences is seeking a highly motivated scientist to drive the identification and validation of new drug targets in human genetics. As a key member of the discovery engine, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping innovative concepts and developing models for screening drug targets for the treatment of cardiometabolic diseases, including T2D, Obesity, Atherosclerosis, Retinal and vascular diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

· Establish stem cell-based disease platforms for target identification and validation

· Develop assays to perform screens using CRISPR and high-content imaging techniques

· Design and execute laboratory experiments, interpret data, and communicate results effectively

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams across therapeutic and functional areas

· Maintain electronic lab notebooks and sample inventories

Qualifications

Required Experience and Skills:

· Expertise in stem cell culturing, differentiation, and characterization for disease modeling, target identification.

· Ability to perform gene manipulation technologies such as CRISPR, siRNA, ASOs, lentivirus, and AAVs

· Hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology techniques, including RNA extraction, qPCR, ELISA/MSD, ICC, and imaging

· Ability to lead projects individually and as part of a team

· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Ability to understand omics data is a plus

Education Requirements:

· BS/MS in molecular and cell biology or a related discipline

· At least 3 years of work experience in an laboratory setting.
